Hips

In the past, many patients with hip pain were not recognised as having treatable problems. However our understanding of hip problems is rapidly advancing. We now understand that hip pain can indicate underlying conditions that are not only causing symptoms now, but are most likely responsible for the future development of hip arthritis.

With modern examination and imaging techniques many of these hip disorders can now be diagnosed. Hip arthroscopy is a relatively new and rapidly developing technique for treating hip disorders. With these minimally invasive techniques hip joint problems including impingement, labral tears, loose bodies and internal or external snapping hip can be effectively treated.
