Acute Knee Injury Clinic

This clinic runs every week for urgent assessment of potentially serious knee injuries.

Signs of a significant knee injury

INSTABILITY: An injury where the knee “gave way” with pain or a feeling of moving out of place Rapid or tight SWELLING

Hearing a “SNAP, CRACK or POP” when the injury occurred

Being unable to, or STRUGGLING TO WALK afterwards

LOSS OF MOVEMENT: Not being able to straighten or bend the knee properly.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED YOU MAY HAVE A SIGNIFICANT KNEE INJURY, PLEASE ASK YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPIST, GP OR ACC ACCREDITED HEALTH PROVIDER TO REFER YOU FOR ASSESSMENT.
